ABC Spills the Beans on Who Spilled the Beans on Zarqawi

ABC has published a photograph and the full name of the Zarqawi aide who spilled the beans on his boss.

Doing so will probably make the next informant think a bit before giving it up. I wonder how many American lives that will cost. Certainly it will end up costing this informer his own life eventually.

The only redeeming aspect of this now-so-usual breach of ethics is that ABC now has its complaint letters online in their blog. A few choice samples:

I cannot beleive this. What is the problem with you people. Do you hate America and Bush so much that you would report ANYTHING?

If I had my way you media types would be arrested and jailed until this war is over!

The family of Ziad Khalaf Raja al-Karbouly will certainly be a target of Zarqawi's supporters. Why was it necessary to reveal who provided the information? It serves no purpose other than to endanger the lives of innocent people. The release of this guy's name will result in less cooperation from captured terror network participants.
